NSF Training & Education Services is committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal information of each learner and maintains confidentiality of personal information in accordance with the NSF International Privacy Policy available at www.nsfinternational.co.nz

Confidentiality Statement

NSF Training & Education Services undertakes to protect the privacy of each of our clients and the confidentiality of their business information. NSF Training & Education Services will only disclose learner records (1) to the individual learner, (2) to a third party when directed by the individual learner, or (3) in the event of private training for employees of a corporation, to that corporation. All employees and contractors of NSF Training & Education Services must respect the confidential nature of the information which they acquire in the course of their work.

Email Marketing

NSF Training & Education Services usage of email addresses is for the express purpose of client information sharing. This applies to email addresses obtained through various website monitoring techniques such as "clickstream". NSF Training & Education Services does not release or sell any obtained email addresses and does not use these addresses for the transmission of third-party marketing.

Additional Information Collected Automatically

In some cases, NSF Training & Education Services may automatically (i.e. not via registration) collect technical information when visitors connect to the website that is not personally identifiable. Examples of this type of information include the Internet Browser used, the computer operating system and the domain name of the website.

NSF Training & Education Services Policies and Procedures Registration Communication Within two days of your online registration, you will receive a confirmation letter by email from NSF Training & Education Services containing specific details related to the course, including date, time, location, directions/parking, specific program requirements and travel/accommodation information in the event that you are travelling. You will also receive an automatic registration reminder from NSF Training & Education Services one to two weeks prior to the program date.

Criteria for Successful Completion Participants will receive the NSF Training & Education Services Certificate of Attendance upon successful completion of the training program. Criteria for successful completion include, but may not be limited to, the following: Sign-in at the commencement of the learning event 90% attendance in all sessions Full participation in (and satisfactory completion of) all related program activities, including group activities, required assignments and relevant assessments Notice of Successful Completion Participants who meet all completion criteria relevant to the training event will receive NSF Training & Education Services Certificate of Attendance upon conclusion of the event.

Notice of Unsatisfactory Completion Participants who fail to meet the criteria for successful completion (stated above) will not satisfactorily complete the training program and will not be eligible to receive the NSF Training & Education Services Certificate of Attendance.

Request for Official Learner Record An Official Learner Record is a complete record of your satisfactory completion of learning events. A NZ$25.00 + GST fee for each copy requested will be charged (plus applicable courier fees). Requests can be made in writing to NSF Training & Education Services, single@nsf.org.

Technology or Materials Requirement Unless noted otherwise, participants are not required to bring any specific technological devices (i.e. computers, laptops, handheld devices etc.) or special materials to class. Should there be any special requirements for a given learning event, notice will be provided by email two weeks prior to the event date.

Instructional Techniques and Methods A variety of instructional techniques and methods may be used throughout the program, including: lecture, large and small group discussion, simulation, skills demonstration, case studies, handouts, instructional DVD, question and answer periods, pre- and post-testing, quizzes.

Assessment Various assessment tools, techniques, and methods may be used to assess participant learning and achievement of learning objectives. These may include: quizzes/examinations, case studies, discussion, skills/knowledge demonstration, instructor evaluation and feedback (group and individual).

Notice of Proprietary Interest Prior to the commencement of a learning event, NSF Training & Education Services will disclose any instructor’s proprietary interest in any product, instrument, service or material to be discussed during the learning event or source of third-party compensation related to the presentation.

Cancellation Policy (Public Training) Substitutions (in writing) are welcome anytime, but please notify us as soon as possible.

Early Cancellations (more than two weeks prior to the course date) A refund will be issued for the registration fee paid.

Late Cancellations (less than 72 hours prior to the course date) Policy Cancellation – Please note a Full Refund will only be issued when ‘Cancellation’ is advised 72 hours prior to the course taking place. After this period, a 25% Admin Fee will be deducted from your Refund. We highly recommend all course registrants transfer to another course date that may suit (there is no Admin Fee payable for the 1st course transfer /change made, there after 25% will be charged to the Course Fee). Refunds will only be issued once learning materials have been returned and received by the office.

Program Cancellation NSF Training & Education Services reserves the right to cancel or postpone a program due to unforeseen circumstances. Should this occur, you will be notified as soon as possible. All efforts will be made to notify participants at minimum two weeks before the scheduled event. If NSF Training & Education Services cancels a course, your entire registration fee will be refunded.

Travel In the event that you are travelling to attend a training program, please purchase travel insurance should the program be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

NOTICE REGARDING TRAVEL: In no event shall NSF International be responsible for travel costs due to the cancellation of a training program. If you are traveling to attend a training program, please contact NSF Training & Education Services to verify that the course and venue have been confirmed prior to making any reservations.

If you must reserve travel before the course and venue have been confirmed, NSF recommends purchasing refundable travel tickets and/or travel insurance.
